Built in a time when outdoor living areas were not in vogue, this beautiful 30 year old Mt Ommaney residence lacked a space that connected the tennis court and swimming pool, and provided an outdoor area adjacent to the house. Steel posts cantilever from concrete footings to minimise structure and bracing, and allow the form to mimic elements at the rear of the existing house. Orientation is such to provide shelter from the summer sun, with height to allow winter sun into the space.
